How 4th Graders & Their Families Get Free Entry to National & State Lands

Parents, did you know your 4th graders can get your family free entry to national and state parks and lands for an entire school year?
The Every Kid Outdoors gives 4th graders and their families free entry to national lands.
The California State Park Adventure Pass program provides free entry for 4th graders and their families at 19 amazing state parks throughout California.

How to Get Your Pass
- Visit www.everykidoutdoors.gov
- Complete an online adventure diary
- Download and PRINT your pass (electronic versions are not accepted)
- Plan a trip
- Paper passes can be exchanged for plastic passes at certain sites

How to Use Your Pass
Show your pass to a ranger when you enter. If there is no ranger, leave it on the dashboard of your car.
If you visit a site that charges entrance fees PER PERSON: The pass admits all children under 16 and up to three adults for free.
If you visit a site that charges entrance fees PER VEHICLE: The pass admits all children under 16 and all adults in up to one passenger vehicle. Commercial vehicles can’t use a pass to get in.

How to Get Your Pass
- Visit ReserveCalifornia.com or call (800) 444-7275.
- Create an account. Fill out name, email, and address.
- Once you make your account, click on Passes from the menu.
- Select the Fourth Grade California State Parks Adventure Pass option.
- Add to cart and checkout (grand total is $0.00).
- The pass is emailed to you right away! If you don’t see it, check your junk/spam box.
How to Use Your Pass
Show your pass to a state park staffer by either printing it or showing it on your phone.
If you visit a site that charges an entry fee PER PERSON: The pass admits all children (ages 15 and under) and up to three adults (ages 16 and up) accompanying the 4th grader.
If you visit a site that charges an entry fee PER VEHICLE: The pass admits all passengers in the vehicle (private, non-commercial) get free entry.

- Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, Thousand Oaks
- Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park, Three Rivers
- Yosemite National Park, Yosemite
Not all places will accept the pass. Call before you go.
