Children’s Home Society of California
Children’s Home Society of California (CHS) can help families find child care and help income-eligible families pay for child care. CHS also serves as a central coordinating link for child care and child development services.
Parents can obtain free information on child-care options that meet their needs. Listings are maintained on licensed child-care centers, family child-care homes, before and after-school programs, public and private schools, and child-care assistance programs.
Additional services include resources for assessing the quality of child care services, workshops, and a lending library that offers age-appropriate activities, toys and parenting resources.
