8 Stores that Offer Free Classes & Workshops for Kids

Your family can enjoy classes and workshops right at your local retailers! Many of these events are free, some might require a small fee to cover material costs.

 


 

Apple

Kids can learn, create, and do more with their Apple devices including photography, photo editing, music making, coding, art and design. Join in on these free sessions at your nearest Apple Store. Visit their website to see what classes are happening this month. Register early because they fill up fast!

 

Home Depot

Kids workshops at Home Depot provide a lively environment mixing skill-building, creativity, and safety for future DIYers. Register for free online.

All kids must be accompanied by a parent or adult at all times. Kids get to keep their craft, receive a free certificate of achievement, a workshop apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last.

 

JOANN

JOANN Fabric and Craft Stores offer classes and events for kids to learn knitting, crocheting, sewing and more.  Cupcake and cake decorating classes also offered. Fees apply.

 

Lowe’s

Lowe’s DIY Kids’ Workshops are free, monthly, in-store events designed to inspire the next generation of builders while growing their confidence and DIY skillset.

 

Michaels

Michaels stores offer Make Break sessions for the family for free and Kids Club, where kids (ages 3+) can choose from two, 30-minute projects. Prices and projects vary. Birthday party packages also available!
