Shipley Nature Center

This 18-acre nature preserve features native plants and animals and two miles of walking trails. The Interpretive Center houses a diorama of animals and exhibits.

The trails lead you by a stream, a Coast Live Oak grove, a meadow with orange California Poppies in the spring, a pond, and Coast Redwoods. Shipley’s tallest trees, the Coast Redwoods, are some of the southernmost instances of the species on the continent.

Special events, docent-led tours, and memberships are also offered. Suggested $3 per person donation.
