Flight Path Museum

Located adjacent to the airfield at Los Angeles Airport, Flight Path Museum LAX features exhibits that honor Southern California’s aviation history. See an extensive collection of airline artifacts and flight crew uniforms from around the world.  Learn about space exploration history, Flying Tigers airline, and fire fighting vehicles used at LAX.

The museum also offers Flight Path Simulator Training, field trips, and scholarships for students.

Flight Path “Walk of Fame”

The Flight Path “Walk of Fame” is a pathway of 50+ plaques dedicated to the pioneers and individuals whose work helped ensure Southern California’s world leadership in aviation/aerospace. The Walk of Fame is located on Sepulveda Blvd. in the Westchester area of Los Angeles.

See plaques dedicated to pioneers like:

  • Sally Ride (the first U.S. woman in space)
  • Katherine Cheung (1st Chinese-American woman to become licensed pilot)
  • Iris Cummings Critchell (Women Air Force Pilot (WASP) in World War II)
  • Amelia Earhart (record-setting woman pilot)
  • Charles Lindbergh (first nonstop solo flight across the Atlantic)
  • Wright Brothers (world’s first powered flight)
  • Bessie Coleman (first licensed black pilot)
